A little more than a year after Buffalo Manufacturing Works opened, the industrial innovation center already is making an impact with local manufacturers.

Sometimes, the work is highly technical. Elma motion control equipment maker Moog Inc. used the center’s resources to develop an automated assembly system. And Moog’s engineers now are working with the center’s experts to come up with a way to use sophisticated scanning equipment to look deep inside some of the aircraft parts that Moog makes to make sure they’re free of defects.
