Louviers, Colorado – November 17, 2016. Colorado banking executive Justin Quinn has acquired Focused on Machining, a south-metro machine shop founded in 2008 by Rich and Kim Pollmiller. Stacy Bibik, a well-known industry executive in the Front Range manufacturing community, will lead business development efforts for the Louivers-based job shop.
Quinn has big plans for the company. “I had the opportunity to bank a lot of manufacturers while I was at Centennial Bank, and it got me really excited about bringing manufacturing back to the United States, especially Colorado,” Quinn said. “While I was in the Air Force I worked with my hands all the time, and I am looking forward to the opportunity to go back to that.”
Quinn was born and raised in the Longmont, Colorado area. After high school he joined the Air Force, where he spent his next six years stationed at McChord Air Force Base, and finished his service as a C17 Flying Crew Chief. After separating, he made his way back to Colorado, and attended University of Northern Colorado, where he completed his Bachelor’s degree in Finance. In 2011 Quinn began as in intern at Centennial Bank, and spent the next five years working his way up to Assistant Vice President Commercial Banker.
While Quinn’s military and banking experiences both lead him to his choice to buy a machine shop, he also has roots in the industry, with three uncles that chose machining as a career. For his own shop, Quinn has big plans. “Short-term, I am looking to streamline operations and implement new technologies,” Quinn said. “Long-term, I am looking toward the many machine shop owners that are about to retire, as we grow we will be able to fill in those gaps.”
The first thing Focused on Machining is doing to modernize machining is updating their website and creating a social media presence to help spread the word about their capabilities and generate business. As his first hire, Quinn brought Stacey Bibik of Arvada, Colo. to his company to direct sales and develop the business using her connections in aerospace and manufacturing.
Bibik brings her Bachelors degree in International business, Masters of Business Administration, and twenty years’ experience to the company. “I have been working with Justin Quinn for nearly two years seeking an opportunity for him to acquire a manufacturing business,” Bibik said. “When Justin closed on Focused on Machining, I came to work for him immediately. Rich is graciously helping us learn the ropes and Justin, with his next-generation visions and enthusiasm make my new role in business development well worth the drive to Louviers.”
